Dress Codes

They say first impression lasts, so make sure that you will give your best shots specially when it comes to fashion.

When it comes to get-together and social events it seems like there are a wide variety of dress codes. When you are in an event make sure you wear a comfortable and appropriate or proper attire for the event.

Below are the different types of dress codes for social events.

White Tie . It is usually at royal ceremonies or at a very formal event in the City, where one's decorations/medals of honour should be worn. A white tie and vest with their tuxedos. White tie, also called full evening dress or a dress suit, is the most formal in traditional evening Western dress codes.

Black Tie. Sometimes this is also called "formal attire." This can be worn for dinner parties (public or private event) even to balls and weddings. A black tie, white shirts and vest with their tuxedos is perfect. It is a dress code for social functions specially evening events. But s still the most important is to understand that your attire should definitely be appropriate for any event.

Semi-Formal. For the women this would be a short dress (anything from mid-calf and shorter would be appropriate) that is more elegant than the normal everyday dress along with high heels. Men should wear a dark suit. To dress semi-formal as a guy, wear a fitted suit jacket and dress pants. For daytime events, go with a lighter-toned suit, such as a beige or tan color. However, if you're attending an evening or nighttime event, wear a navy, dark gray, or black suit. Under your suit jacket, don a crisp button-up shirt and tuck it in. It depends also on the event :)

Cocktail Attire. You can wear this attire to a semi-formal event. Men should wear a dark suit and women a short, elegant dress.

Business Outfit - Denim jeans is a no for business casual for either men or women. You can wear a pair of trousers or pants is fine to wear along with t-shirts or some other trendy top.

Casual Outfit- casual is the dress code that emphasizes comfort and personal expression over presentation, formality and conformity. More simply, "casual" can be defined as something relaxed, occasional, not planned, or informal . For me casual wear is the best :)
